The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plans on increasing scrutiny and oversight over the country's poorest-performing nursing facilities which is a step in the right direction of improving the care we deliver. The new revisions to the Special Focus Facility (SFF) Program are designed to hold facilities accountable for the safety of their residents and to incentivize them to improve the quality of care they provide. We need strong initiatives such as this to drive better-quality care to protect our seniors!
